Conveniently located at the crossroads of Interstate 80 and Interstate 35 Ankeny Regional Airport is the Des Moines Metro's general aviation hub. While in Ankeny, you will find plenty of great places to eat, as well as many other recreational activities.

Restaurants near the airport are Chips, Outback Steakhouse, Waterfront Seafood Market, Chili's, Okoboji Grill, Old Chicago, Buffalo Wild Wings, Panera, IHOP, Perkins, as well as all of the popular fast food restaurants.

For your shopping needs, there is a Wal-Mart Supercenter, Super Target, Best Buy, Menards, Kohls and Home Depot all close by.

Ankeny's two great golf courses, Otter Creek and Briarwood, are a close five minute drive away.

Downtown Des Moines is only 10 minutes to the south.

For those of you who like to play the odds, Prairie Meadows Race Track and Casino is a 10 minute drive to Altoona.

For high speed excitement, visit the Iowa Speedway in Newton, only 35 minutes away.
